Tendering District Council welfare rules

New Rules regarding housing benefit and council tax benefits

New Rules of Residency

All new residents of Tendering and District Council who are subject to this rule which is must have lived or worked in the area for a minimum of three years to qualify for either Housing benefit or Council Tax Benefit,

I moved to the area from London where I had been in receipt of both benefits, only to be told by Tendering that I did not qualify. I am well over seventy years old severely disabled have worked and paid my taxes from the age of 14 to 68.

My family all clubbed together and bought me a little park home down by the sea so that I could live my life out in peace and tranquility doing a little fishing when the weather is nice.

How is it legal that a district council can abuse a national scheme like housing benefit and council tax for there own ends  I paid my taxes nationally and expect my benefits the same way. Please can anyone out there please advise me what to do.
